Stand your Ground

Elephants travel in herds long distances a day in search of water. Often encountering swift rivers, the older female will stand her ground in the turbulence to protect her young’s safety as it crosses. Just as the close-knit of elephants, we live in communities and commute to and fro for jobs, shopping or pleasure. We too, have to stand our ground. With the upcoming elections and happenings of concern all over the world, we must guard and preserve that which we know to be true. We must protect our young; the unborn, and stand for the family unit; covenant marriage. Our source of truth is found in the scriptures. In I Corinthians 16:13,14, we are encouraged to watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong and let all that you do be done with love. God’s perfect love casts out all fear. We can know that even in the pursuing turbulence and trouble ahead, we do not have to be afraid.
By abiding in His love and clinging to His truth, you are braver than you think. You can stand for Truth. You can and you must. You are growing stronger every day and you will be able to stand your ground.
